The new 2027 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class takes luxury to a higher level while keeping something very rare alive in today’s market. The famous V12 engine is still available, which is unusual in a time when many brands are moving to smaller engines or electric cars. This makes the Maybach version stand out as a true flagship sedan for buyers who want maximum comfort and power.

The top version, called the S680, continues to use a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine. It produces 621 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque, which delivers smooth and effortless acceleration. Mercedes has improved insulation in this model, which makes the cabin even quieter and more refined during driving.

For buyers who prefer a different option, the S580 model uses a new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. This engine features a flat-plane crank design and works together with a mild-hybrid system. The total output reaches 530 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, offering strong performance with better efficiency.

The exterior design focuses heavily on lighting and visual presence. The large front grille is now surrounded by illumination, and the Mercedes star itself lights up. The Maybach name is also backlit, making the car instantly recognizable at night. The headlights include subtle rose gold elements, which add a unique and premium touch.

New wheel designs also enhance the overall look. Buyers can choose between 20-inch polished silver wheels or 21-inch forged wheels with gold accents. A special Night Series package introduces darker styling details and wheels with repeating Maybach logos, creating a more dramatic appearance.

Ride comfort is further improved with advanced technology. The car uses car-to-X communication, which allows it to receive data about road conditions from other Mercedes vehicles. If a car ahead detects a pothole, your vehicle prepares the suspension in advance, making the ride smoother and more controlled.

Inside, the cabin is filled with screens and high-end materials. The MBUX Superscreen setup includes a 14.4-inch central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch passenger display, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The interface includes gold details and Maybach branding, giving it a distinct identity.

Rear passengers receive special treatment with two 13.1-inch displays and integrated cameras. These allow video calls directly from the back seats, turning the car into a mobile office or lounge. The seats are designed for maximum comfort, with features aimed at long-distance relaxation.

Customization options are extensive through the Made to Measure program. Buyers can choose from around 150 exterior colors and more than 400 interior combinations. This level of personalization ensures that each Maybach can be tailored to exact preferences.

The 2027 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is expected to arrive in the United States in the second half of 2026. Pricing has not been confirmed yet, but it will likely be higher than the current model, which already sits well above $200,000. This car remains a symbol of status, comfort, and traditional luxury in a rapidly changing automotive world.
