Ferrari Daytona SP3

A unique Ferrari Daytona SP3 has just been sold for an incredible $26 million at RM Sotheby’s auction during Monterey Car Week. This makes it the most expensive new Ferrari ever sold at auction.

The sale was special because it supported charity through the Ferrari Foundation, helping education programs worldwide.

The Daytona SP3 was first shown in 2021 as part of Ferrari’s exclusive “Icona” series. Only 599 cars were made, with an original price of about $2.25 million. The car takes design inspiration from Ferrari’s famous 1960s race cars like the P3 and P4.

This auction car is unique, finished in exposed carbon fiber with a bright yellow theme and custom interior details. It was built only for this event, making it even more desirable to collectors.

At Monterey, the SP3 beat other high-profile cars, including a Ferrari F40 LM sold for $11 million, and even surpassed a legendary 1961 Ferrari 250 California Spyder that went for $25 million.

With this record sale, the Ferrari Daytona SP3 proves once again how Ferrari combines exclusivity, design, and history to make cars that collectors dream about.
