Ford Transit electric

Ford has made history with a van. The new Ford SuperVan 4.2, an all-electric racing machine with 2040 horsepower, has shocked the world at the Nürburgring. Driven by racing legend Romain Dumas, the van set a time of 6 minutes and 48 seconds, making it faster than some of the most famous supercars in the world.

This incredible lap time means the SuperVan 4.2 is quicker than the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, and even Ford’s own Mustang GTD. The only car close to it was the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, just half a second faster.

The SuperVan 4.2 is not a normal road car. It is a pure track monster, with racing slick tires, extreme aerodynamics, and four electric motors. Even though it weighs over 2000 kg, it accelerates and corners like a hypercar.

The idea for the SuperVan goes back to 2005, when Sabine Schmitz, the “Queen of the Nürburgring,” drove a Ford Transit van on Top Gear as a fun challenge. Now Ford has turned that funny idea into a real record-breaking machine.

This is not the first big win for the SuperVan 4.2. It also dominated at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, proving its power in extreme racing. But the Nürburgring is a special challenge, and going under 7 minutes puts this van in the history books.

Ford says this is just the beginning. Soon we will see the F-150 Lightning SuperTruck, another wild electric project that may set even more records.

For now, the SuperVan 4.2 is the world’s fastest van and a true legend of motorsport.
