Mercedes-Benz is preparing a very strong product offensive. The company has announced that 16 new or updated models will arrive in 2026. In the first three months of the year, Mercedes will present seven world premieres. The plan continues in 2027, when another 14 new models are expected.
Out of the 16 models coming in 2026, six will be fully electric cars. The remaining models will still use petrol or diesel engines. This shows that Mercedes is not giving up traditional engines, but it is also investing heavily in electric vehicles.
One of the most important electric models will be the updated EQS. The new version will have a new battery, more efficient electric motors, and an 800-volt system. This should improve driving range and reduce charging time.

Mercedes will continue to focus strongly on luxury and performance models. The updated S-Class has already been presented. A new Maybach S-Class will also arrive soon. In the performance segment, the AMG GLC 53 4Matic+ will be offered as both an SUV and a Coupé. The refreshed AMG GT 4-Door is also planned. In 2027, Mercedes will introduce an SUV version of the AMG GT and a new open-top G-Class Cabriolet.

In the mid-size segment, Mercedes plans five new models with traditional engines and three electric models. There could also be a new electric GLC designed mainly for the Chinese market. In the compact segment, a new petrol model is coming, together with a new generation of the GLA in electric form. A longer version of the GLE for China is also planned for 2027.
This large product offensive comes after weaker financial results. The company’s profit dropped from 13.7 billion euros to 8.2 billion euros. Mercedes faced challenges in China and higher production costs. With many new models, the company wants to improve its position in the global market and offer customers a wide choice of electric and traditional vehicles.
